Innophore team uses a bioinformatics method combined with artificial intelligence to mine structural databases of enzymes using three dimensional search template termed “catalophores” (i.e. carrier of catalytic function). New enzymes identified do not share a common strcuture or sequence base with their currently employed counterparts and therfore potentially feature altered properties.
